June Business Networking Sundowner at Bees Neez Apiaries

David and Leilani Leyland have owned and operated Bees Neez Apiaries producing quality honey since 1982. Their business is based in Beechina in the Shire of Mundaring. 

Dave and Leilani were the perfect hosts and provided us with a heap of information about their commercial beekeeping operation. Bees Neez Apiaries has 700 hives which travel all over Western Australia collecting different varieties of clean and green honey.

Perth Hills Tourism Forum

On Friday, 28 June Mundaring Chamber of Commerce hosted a Perth Hills Tourism Forum at Mundaring Arena. 

Speakers at the forum, Ian Johnson, Principal Policy Advisor – Tourism, to Minister Paul Papalia, Manny Papadoulis, Deputy Chairman of Tourism WA and Kirk Kitchin, Manager Recreation and Leisure, Shire of Mundaring/ Chair of the Perth Hills Tourism Alliance, discussed the importance of tourism to the economy, the Government’s plans for tourism in Western Australia, and the branding of the Perth Hills as a key tourism precinct.

May Business Networking Sundowner with Coral Coast Beef at the Naked Butcher, Mundaring

Our May Networking Sundowner was co-hosted by Chamber member Coral Coast Beef and the Naked Butcher, Mundaring. We were treated to a fantastic, informative evening including a demonstration of a hind quarter breakdown by Gary Hines, the Naked Butcher, and some delicious samples of the exquisite beef produced by Coral Coast Beef.

April Networking Sundowner at the Childow Tavern

Our April Networking Sundowner was held at the Chidlow Tavern and what a great turnout we had! It was fantastic to see so many members, councilors, and new faces in attendance and it was certainly an interesting event.

Thanks to the Chidlow Tavern for hosting the evening and for the delicious nibbles and great service. Thanks also to Jessica Shaw, MLA for the energetic presentation on economic development in the Perth Hills.
