The Chamber has recently been involved a number of activities relating to advocacy. Three examples will show the range of those activities.
David and Leilani Leyland have owned and operated Bees Neez Apiaries producing quality honey since 1982. Their business is based in Beechina in the Shire of Mundaring.
Dave and Leilani were the perfect hosts and provided us with a heap of information about their commercial beekeeping operation. Bees Neez Apiaries has 700 hives which travel all over Western Australia collecting different varieties of clean and green honey.
Speakers at the forum, Ian Johnson, Principal Policy Advisor – Tourism, to Minister Paul Papalia, Manny Papadoulis, Deputy Chairman of Tourism WA and Kirk Kitchin, Manager Recreation and Leisure, Shire of Mundaring/ Chair of the Perth Hills Tourism Alliance, discussed the importance of tourism to the economy, the Government’s plans for tourism in Western Australia, and the branding of the Perth Hills as a key tourism precinct.
Our April Networking Sundowner was held at the Chidlow Tavern and what a great turnout we had! It was fantastic to see so many members, councilors, and new faces in attendance and it was certainly an interesting event.
